Patrick McLain, a former professional soccer player who played with the Chicago Fire, Minnesota United, Chivas USA, and the Sacramento Republic retired after eight solid years. Today, soccer is still his passion.
McClain grew up in the middle of Wisconsin, an area that presented challenges for young soccer players. During that time, he found creative ways to catch up to his competition and ultimately surpassed them. Once recruited by a D1 soccer program Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, the rising star was signed professionally after three collegiate seasons.
Throughout his offseason, McClain developed multiple cutting edge goalkeeping approaches. He began by breaking things down to the core-level then building 'keepers up to reach their optimal performance level. His strategies and techniques are highly replicated but rarely duplicated.
"Goalkeeper training is much more than the physical drills," says McLain, "It’s about the knowledge and experience a goalkeeper coach possesses and shares with their players to create, build, and develop the most well-rounded goalkeeper."
McLain looks forward to mapping out strong, comprehensive pathways for the LA Bulls 'keepers to help them achieve their goals.
