DPL

The Development Player League (DPL) is a premier youth soccer league in the United States, designed to serve as a developmental platform for female athletes with aspirations of reaching the highest levels of competition. Focused primarily on girls’ soccer, the DPL bridges the gap between grassroots club play and the elite standards of the Girls Academy (GA). With an emphasis on high-quality training environments, consistent competition, and professional development, the DPL provides a structured pathway for players to grow technically, tactically, and mentally.

Through its strategic collaboration with the GA, the DPL not only increases access to top-tier opportunities but also strengthens the overall player pool, helping more athletes gain exposure and readiness for the elite level. Managed independently but aligned with the goals of the GA, the DPL is a critical component of the U.S. female youth soccer landscape.
