Danielle Hanson
Dani grew up in Arvada, Colorado. A proud CO native! She picked up soccer at the age of 7 with her first team, The Hornets! Excited to play, she slept in her full uniform, cleats and all, the first night she got it. After the first practice she attended, Dani was hooked. She fell for this game like so many of us have. She played competitive clubsoccer with the Colorado Legends and the Colorado Edge and held a starting spot all throughout high school as captain of her varsity team.
Dani works for Angel City FC in the community department as a Project Specialist leading and coaching for a collaborative program - The Twinning Project. A program held at Century Regional Correctional Facility where she coaches soccer to cohorts of incarcerated women. There they work on topics like: culture and impact, communication, adapting, teamwork, support, etc. and how they impact the game and ultimately life… By the end of the 6 week program the women learn the game, and truly come together as a team!
At the Bulls, Dani has had the opportunity to start - SHE/ HER/ THEY - PLAY! Low cost soccer clinics for girls+. A program solely about creating a safe space for all girls, non-binary and gender non-conforming players to come play, connect to players in their communities and be coached by women. Dani is passionate about soccer being for everyone - no matter your background.
Dani coaches to mentor young girls and women, through the beautiful game, to be bold, proudly and unapologetically take up space and to come to know that their voices matters - on and off the pitch.
