Position: Development Coordinator

20 hours/week
$20-$35/hour depending on experience

Job Description: The LA Bulls is an non profit youth soccer organization that focuses on developing
essential life skills through the beautiful game. We are looking for a resourceful and charismatic
development coordinator to organize fundraisers and source donors to raise money for our youth
soccer nonprofit organization. The Development Coordinator is responsible for providing
support to the fundraising and development team by managing and coordinating all activities
related to donor relations, fundraising campaigns, special events, grant seeking and writing, and
other development initiatives. The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Club
Director to ensure the successful execution of all projects, programs, and events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute fundraising campaigns and events, including researching, creating,
    and managing timelines, budgets, and other related materials
  • Manage donor data, gifts and pledges, and other records in an accurate, timely, and secure
    manner
  • Ensure donor acknowledgements and other correspondence are sent in a timely manner
  • Prepare and deliver donor reports, presentations, and other materials as required
  • Identify and prepare grant applications and other fundraising proposals
  • Coordinate and manage the organization's online presence and social media campaigns
    for development purposes
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and other events, including managing guest lists, registration,
    and other event logistics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a development or fundraising role
  • Proven track record in creating, executing, and managing successful fundraising
    campaigns
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other donor management software
  • Prior experience in youth sports
  • Prior experience working with nonprofits

Position: LA Bulls GK Coach

Description: The LA Bulls Goalkeeper program is an established environment that has seen three former professional goalkeepers working with the club's players. We have a goal of building and continuing excellence and maximizing our players potential as goalkeepers and people. We foster an environment that teaches players to love the game and educates players and coaches alike.

 

Part Time
10 hours max/week

Responsibilities:

  • Run 2-4 goalkeepers group sessions per week for groups of 4-10 keepers based on group-appropriate benchmarks andactivities
  • Participate in evaluation and goal-setting activities for club goalkeepers
  • Attend 2-5 games a month as a way to provide game-analysis for coaches and goalkeepers alike
  • Communicate with team coaches and Director of Goalkeeping on a regular/weekly basis
  • Report to GK Director once a month
  • Attend coaches meetings once a month
  • Organize and update schedule where needed
  • Communicate with players/parents where needed

 

Current Structure of Schedule:

    • Build class 1 hour
    • Evolve class 1 hour
    • Elevate class 1 hour
    • 2 hours of observing games/trainings or extra training*schedule subject to change based on field availability

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
    • Club/College level playing experience
    • The Coach shall hold and maintain at least a grassroots level coaching license
    • Experience coaching youth club soccer
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time, work under pressure
    • Ability to take initiative and work independently with a minimum amount of supervision
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional manner with a diverse group of co-workers, partners, and stakeholders
    • Desire to embrace the the mission of the LA Bulls to promote proper youth development
    • Strong computer skills, including the ability to easily navigate the internet and create google documents such as word, excel, and powerpoint documents
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance at the time of hire
    • Must possess a vehicle or other means of transportation
    • Some experience in public speaking (coaching, team meetings, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to demonstrate activities and drills for GKs
    • Demonstrated success in building a strong team culture
    • Demonstrated success in recruiting and managing players
    • General understanding of SoCal league and US club soccer
    • Familiarity with West LA and LA county geography

 

  • Work Environment:
    Work hours vary and are generally 4:30-8:45pm M-f and between 8am-6pm on the weekends depending on team schedules and quantity of teams. Trainings are usually held at Paul Revere Middle School and/or Palisades Charter High School. Games are scheduled on the weekends and can be home or away games. Local or travel tournaments are scheduled throughout the year and will have to be approved by TD. Admin duties are generally done remotely.

Position: Assistant Coach

Description: Share and support the vision of the Head Coach,  Director and Club. Assist Director/Head Coach in running and managing the team to the best of ability following curriculum and team needs for proper development.

5-15/hours per week

 

Assistant coach responsibilities : Report to Youngers Director 

Part time
10-15 hours max/week

Assist in developing Individual Players

  • Develop individual skills
  • Develop Psychology of player (confidence, mental strength, etc.)
  • Team life skills through the sport and experiences

Assist in developing and Managing Team

  • Implement the club culture in team environment
  • Communicate with players when needed
  • Learn to Recruit, Build and strengthen rosters
  • Attend all trainings on time
  • Plan training sessions one week prior to session
  • Create strong bonds amongst players
  • Learn to Monitor Parents
  • Follow Bulls curriculum

Develop as a Coach

  • Option to attend all or any coaching education meetings/events to expand your knowledge
  • Communicate closely with Head Coach and Director regarding individual players

 

JR Bulls Rec League Responsibilities: Report to Youngers Director 

 

  • Report to training 15 minutes prior to start
  • Help set up
  • Help break down
  • Manage players focus and fun
  • Assist head coach with drills and management of players
  • Run small drills if needed by head coach

5-10 hours per week which includes but not limited to:

  • Coaching younger teams in training and games
  • Coaching Jr bulls rec teams in trainings and games
  • Assisting head coaches from other programs
  • Some admin duties
  • Working camps
  • Working special programs

 

Extra Opportunities (Must be approved by Club Director)

  • Winter Camp and Summer camp
    • Two week each camp
    • Monday - Thursday
    • 8:30am-3pm
  • Club Admin/operation Help
    • Coordinate Camps and programs
    • Monitor Parking lots during training
    • Record games

    • Demonstrated success in planning and running yearly training session programs to enhance player development
    • Ability to demonstrate activities and drills
    • Demonstrated success in building a strong team culture
    • Demonstrated success in recruiting and managing players
    • General understanding of SoCal league and US club soccer, and Cal South
    • Familiarity with West LA and LA county geography
